01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled in the heart of San Fernando de Henares, Restaurante Asturias offers an authentic slice of traditional Spanish cuisine that feels both warmly familiar and excitingly fresh. This charming eatery on Av. de Castilla is a true haven for lovers of hearty, homemade dishes that celebrate the rich culinary heritage of the Asturias region.

From the moment you walk in, the inviting atmosphere is undeniable—cozy, personable, and buzzing with the lively hum of satisfied diners. What truly sets Restaurante Asturias apart, beyond its culinary delights, is the exceptional service led by Álvaro, whose remarkable ability to remember each patron’s name adds an intimate and welcoming touch to every visit. Guests consistently praise the fast, attentive service paired with a level of professionalism that makes you feel genuinely valued rather than just another reservation.

The menu is a vibrant showcase of Asturias’ rustic flavors, featuring generous portions designed to satisfy even the heartiest appetites. Diners rave about traditional offerings like tender, expertly prepared liver dishes that burst with savory depth, and the heavenly homemade cheesecake that perfectly rounds off the meal with just the right touch of sweetness. Each plate reveals a passion for quality ingredients and cooking precision, with daily specials such as lentil stew adding a delightful element of surprise and authenticity to your dining experience.

Whether you’re seeking a comforting lunch during a busy day of travel or a relaxed evening meal that transports you straight to the northern coasts of Spain, Restaurante Asturias delivers an experience that feels both genuine and soul-satisfying. As Lilian Garcia shared, it’s a perfect refuge for those craving a taste of home-cooked goodness on the road. The blend of savory aromas, generous servings, and heartfelt hospitality makes it impossible not to plan a return visit.

If you find yourself in Madrid’s eastern outskirts, this gem on Av. de Castilla is a culinary stop that promises more than just a meal—it offers a memorable encounter with Spain’s cherished food traditions, served with a genuine smile and a spirited sense of community.

It was not the best fabada asturiana I've ever had but it was pretty good. The second dish was a sautéed chicken that was tender and tasty, good portion. The owner is a friendly fellow and very attentive to the customers. I'd like to go back and try some of the other dishes that customers here recommend.
